Adoption

Adopting any animal is serious business.  We strive to find FOREVER HOMES for our rats.  I do realize that sometime it turns out that a rat and a person can be mismatched.  Should this happen, I will take the rat back for any reason..  The only thing that I ask is that the rat be surrendered with the cage.  I know that this can not happen all the time, but in an almost perfect world, I too would need a place to keep them.

I only adopt out rats in pairs, unless you already have 1 or 2 that they will be with.  Rats are very social animals and even if you give them lots of time with you, they still need the company of other rats.  Wouldn't you want to company of  other humans?  Don't answer that,  I know this is why we love our rats so much,  we like their company more than most humans.  hee hee

If you think that a rat pair could be for you, please let me know.  There are currently no safe ways to ship rats, but I'm sure that something can be worked out.  PLEASE do not buy rats at the pet store when you can adopt a rat in need for free.

My son recently got to adopt two rats, but before I let him,  I made him do his own research on the web about the needs of our furry (and not so furry, in my case) friends.
