Rescue

We rescue rats from many places in the Oklahoma area.  Most of which, we get from people who have owned them and didn't understand the proper care or attention they need.  We take in these rats, some of which are scared and afraid to be handled.  Over, time we will provide them with attention from us and our other rats, slowly building their confidence.  Once they are comfortable to be handled we put them on the adoption list for others to enjoy.  We will not adopt rats that are not hand tamed.  Our goal is to place these babies in homes that will give them love and attention, and I guarantee that each rat adopted will have been worked with to be handled.

I will only adopt out rats (if at all possible) in pairs, unless you already have rats.  While rats need our attention, it is pertinent to their survival that they have another rat. to live with.  Rats are social animals and  need each other's attention as well.  Rats are very easy to care for, so having two is not any harder, and it makes them calmer.  I find that if i am training one rat and the other is out with them, they learn faster.
